Nueva York is a bespoke typeface developed for Zooyork Chile. It has 2 styles, Sharp & Rounded. It was inspired by the “Zoo York Drop K” graphic.

SIKHOTE DISPLAY

TYPE DESIGN
The name was inspired by the Sikhote-Alin meteorite shower (the largest recorded meteorite fall in history) which occurred in Siberia in 1947. The meteorite surface is covered with scores of small regmaglypts, or thumbprints, created by melting during flight. This specific rounded aesthetic was the main inspiration for the final development that in the first stage was straight edged.
